I’m a huge fan of players sticking with a team. It’s a rarity today that it happens for a whole career, but still, many players’ allegiance stays with one particular team even if they leave or get traded. And while I think the Kings clearly got the better end of the deal with the Oilers (Greene and Stoll), I still lament the Kings moving Lubomir Visnovsky out of LA.
A Slovakian player drafted by the Kings in the 4th round (118). To me, he’s a King through and through and now that the Kings are finally becoming the team hardcore fans had always hoped for, I think bringing Lubo back into the fold would be a classy move by Dean Lombardi as well as an improvement on defense.
I know what your thinking: hurt feelings, salary cap issues, too expensive, won’t happen, etc. To that I say, anything can happen. Feelings change, salaries get adjusted, other players move on to make room, etc. The fact remains, Lubo is, and will always be, a King to me. Let’s hope it comes to pass.

I agree. I think he may have lost a step.. but if we’re keeping Jones in to be a #6 and PP specialist.. Lubo can do that better (though for a higher price tag). I always liked him. Solid two way and a great shot from the point.
I was thinking the same thing Waves, but he has a 5 year contract with a 5.6 million cap hit. I don’t know if he’s worth that. That’s the type of money they’re going to have to shell out for Doughty.
I still wear my Visnovsky jersey though. Vote for Lubo:)
Glad you still wear it proudly! I laugh at the LaBarbara jerseys though…
