Another Blog Down the Drain

timesdrain

In case you didn’t know, Jim Fox blogged for the LA Times during the early part of the season but has since disappeared. Until now that is…

Here’s Fox’s statement to his LA Times readers:

“I assume that those of you who followed my blogs earlier in the hockey season have been wondering why I have not been writing lately. I apologize for not getting word to you sooner, but I have been trying to work things out as far as finding the time to work on the blogs. Due to some changes in my duties with the Los Angeles Kings, I feel that I no longer have the appropriate time to continue writing. My roles with our Alumni Association and the Kings Fan Development Departments have increased significantly to the point that I have been asked to shift some of my duties and increase my participation in those areas. As I hope you have noticed, the Times has increased their coverage of the Kings extensively and that includes traveling writers to away games, so hopefully this will help everyone who wishes to follow Kings news. I would like to thank Helene Elliott and the Los Angeles Times for the opportunity and I appreciate their support. Thanks!”

I actually enjoyed Foxy’s blog quite a bit so I was sad to see it go. I get the sneaking suspicion that there’s more to the story than the statement says. Finding time once a week to write a bit on the club isn’t very hard to do, even with a tight schedule. Perhaps he just didn’t enjoy it very much. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
