- It was a bit of a somber mood at practice today. I chalk that up to yet another loss to Nashville.
- Murray started off with a speech to the guys. Hard to hear, but the overall message was “It’s up to you guys.”
- With 24 skaters out there, plus Hardy as the extra center, it was pretty crowded ice. Lots of bodies.
- Pretty good crowd watching too. More than usual… I wonder why? Playoffs!
- Lines were:
Smitty/Kopi/Brownie (the E line)
Richie/Stoll/Fro
Modin/Zus/Simmer
Clune/Halpern/Parse
Ivan/Hardy/JW
Defensive parings were the same.
Whiskey and Harry were the 4th pair.
- Passing drills were the order of the day.
- Lots of transition play up the ice, through the neutral zone and getting in with speed.
- A few scrimmage battle drills focused on getting the puck out of the zone.
- I got the impression that the peripheral guys (ivan/harry/whiskey) were kinda left out.
- I can’t believe Justin Williams is skating that good. Insane.
- Parse always seems pissed off or bothered to me. Didn’t think he had a good practice. Unfortunately I don’t think he’ll stick around long, but I hope I’m wrong.
- Felt like Modin and Halpern got their barrings pretty quickly but Halpern seems slow.
- It was nice to see Stoll center again. I could tell he was having fun.
- Clune falls down too much.
- Quick did quite a few “stop the puck behind the net” plays.
All in all a solid and relatively short practice. Very few post-practice focus drills. Everyone left the ice in a hurry.

Not just funny, absofuckinglutely hilarious! Rich pulled the plug too soon though. All he did was call van and I stupid. Sure it’s a bit insulting, but nothing that can’t be handled by the forum. I feel a little bad for the guy though because he just doesn’t get it. But I was seriously laughing out loud with tears in my eyes!
So was I.I was so tempted to start it up again when he respnded to my comment really quick.Just to see if I could push him a little farther,but I figured he’d had enough.Absolutely well done.

The anecdotal stuff is the best. It’s fun to go to practice because you never know what will happen or who you will come across. Glad you found it, thanks!
Waves, what the hell happened the other day with Rich and the post that got deleted?
I just saw the comments from this morning between you two and responded to him, which pretty much sums it up. Click here for the original post.
But basically, VanKingsFan mildly and correctly criticized him and he came back with a crazy diatribe on how Van was retarded and a stupid idiot who can’t read. It went on and on.
So then naturally, I responded with, “Van said it perfectly” and he went off on me too. Somewhere around there, Rich deleted his comments. Meanwhile the guy was writing another comment further down.
Then Rich deleted that and the guy made another comment back up top! It was so funny. All the while my comments to him were the only thing appearing, as if I was commenting to myself.
It went on like that for a while and then mrbrett, not having a clue what had just transpired, came in with, “Van is right.” At that point, I almost lost my lunch. Dominick and I were in hysterics with laughter.
