With 2 games in hand over Nashville, it appears the Kings will likely land in 6th place in the west (unless they leapfrog 2 teams in the final 5 games). That will leave them with a first round opponent of the freshly bitch-slapped Vancouver Canucks. And while the Kings are only 1-2-1 against them this year, they would have to feel good going into that series after last night’s beat down.
The one thing I hope we can do as Kings fans, is limit those damn Nuck-fan-sections to just one area at Staples. They are persistent and apparently have plenty of money to spend being that they had, by my count, at least 5 large groups in the lower bowl. I had a small group of 6 right in front of me. So while the sellout was great, having 25% of the fans rooting for the other team wasn’t.
