Manchester will try to even things up with Hershey later today at 4pm pacific. But first, a game is already in the books today with Team USA taking out their frustrations on the glorious nation of Kazakhstan by crushing them 10-0 in the relegation round.
“We were embarrassed to be in this situation and it was great to get some goals and see the forwards be rewarded for their efforts,” said Team USA captain Jack Johnson. Story here.
Then at noon, the Calgary Hitmen (with Kings prospects Brandon Kozun and goalie Martin Jones) will take on the Moncton Wildcats in the Memorial Cup. If you don’t have the NHL Network, you can watch the game online for free. Oh yeah, and I love the Hitmen’s logo!
*Update: Calgary scores 3 third period goals to win it 5-4. Jones is the winning goalie. Kozun’s ankle kept him out of the lineup for most of the game. I doubt he’ll play again during this tourney.

- The Bears lead the Eastern Conference Finals series 1-0
- I wish these games were on TV so I could record them.
- But you can watch online here for $11.
- Gabe Gauthier ties it up on the PP.
- Apparently it was the Gauthier and Bourque show the rest of the way. Gabe put the Monarchs ahead while Bourque tied it and scored the game winner in OT to give the Bears a 2-0 lead in the series.
