Quick Traded to Ducks (and why top-down reporting sucks)

Mistakes happen. We can all accept that.

But when those mistakes, made by an editor at a national publication like Sports Illustrated, involve connecting a member of one team to a hated rival, that’s crossing the line.

And that’s one reason why blogs like LA Kings Insider are so much more preferred than generic, catch-all sports news like SI. Local editors, writers, bloggers would never make the mistake seen below.

Had enough, will not visit

Really SI? Really?

Come on, gentleman. Making way too much of this. Most likely an honest mistake. I am a huge fan of non-MSM but just chill out. Have you never made a factual or even spelling error on your site before? Don’t make me go looking.

Nooo! Don’t look through my blog! LOL. Yeah, my over-the-top humor gets the best of me sometimes and I lose the point. Which is, I prefer local/horizontal to top down/vertical reporting for the most part. Each has it’s place and they all make errors (of course) but I really do think a local rag wouldn’t make the mistake above. Thanks for looking out my brutha.
