Bernie Nicholls instructs as Jamie Kompon looks on
I found it fascinating and somewhat uncomfortable watching Bernie Nicholls take such an active roll in practice today at the exclusion of Jamie Kompon’s input much of the time. Regardless of what the understanding is professionally, I would think it is only natural for Kompon to feel a bit threatened by Nicholls presence. Here are a few videos. Awkward…
Any idea if Bernie will be at Sundays practice? Hopining to get out and see if that scene is as awkward to watch in person as on YouTube.
@LomitaKingsFan: I believe Bernie is here for a while consulting so I’d expect him to be at all practices for the time being.
I think if I’m Jamie Kompon, I’m just happy to have a job. He’s an assistant coach who’s primary role is to coach the PP, which is 30th in the league right now and was not too good last year either.
Now that I’ve stated the obvious, I’m sure it’s uncomfortable. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Dean has planned it that way. Pressure is not only good for the players.
Kompon still being here is just more proof that I would absolutely want to work for Dean Lombardi. The man gives his people every opportunity to succeed first.
