Be a winner... predict the future!
What is this about? Matt Murray from Life in Hockeywood proposed a Kings blogger prediction panel for the rest of the season. We simply predict the score of the game and give a reason why we believe it will turn out that way. I’m also including commenters from LA Kings Insider to compete against us!
Scoring: There are 3 ways to score. 1) Wins and losses. 2) Plus/Minus 3) And the ‘exacta’ which is predicting the exact score of the game. The plus/minus works like this: You get a -1 for every goal you’re off. If you’re off by 2 goals for one team and 1 goal for the other, then that’s a -3. You get a +1 for predicting one correct score, you get a +1 for predicting the total number of goals correct, OR you get a +3 for predicting the exact score (exacta).
What do I win? This is just for fun. There’s nothing to win except mad respect and ice cred (not to be confused with street cred). If you miss a game, you’re out.

The Kings will battle as usual, but their not-so-good play against Columbus, coupled with the ‘lucky’ last second goal, will be reminders that they are still struggling with the ‘O’. |

Therefore I see the Kings grabbing 1. |

waves’ notes: Oh yeah, it’s on like Donkey Kong now boys and girls. Quisp’s gone panelcidal on us. 7 goals? That’s just plain silly. Late entry Bobby one-upped him going with a mind-boggling 8 goals. Johnny and Chris with 4 is nutty enough. No way the Kings walk out with 2 points tonight. Of course, Quisp will win again. If he gets tonight’s score right, I quit this stupid game…
i’m not sure QUISP and BOBBY SCRIBE are poking fun of this whole thang…or have inside info that sam gagne will join the kings in time for the game tonight…

I thought about ways to earn ‘pluses’ and this was the best I could come up with after talking to a couple people. I imagine there are better ways, but this way seems pretty simple and fair.
@wavesinair: I agree those are the best way to give pluses. I forogt to read the +/- explaination on the previous page and just thought it was the goal differential.
Is the minus 3 the worst you could get, or do you get an additional minus for every goal you’re off? Like what if tonights game ends up 5-0 Kings, would my score be -6 for the game? Sorry for all the questions.

The minus is for every goal you’re off! So it could get pretty ugly if you’re not careful (quisp, bobby).

Darn, I’m going to be a -6 now. At least I called the winner right.
