A closer look at the Maya Calendar reveals a little known fact... they predicted a Kings victory on this date!
What is this about? Matt Murray from Life in Hockeywood proposed a Kings blogger prediction panel for the rest of the season. Seven websites are represented on the panel and we simply predict the score of the game and give a reason why we believe it will turn out that way. I’m also including commenters from LA Kings Insider to compete against us!
Playing: There are 3 ways to score. 1) Wins and losses. 2) Plus/Minus 3) And the ‘exacta’ which is predicting the exact score of the game. The plus/minus works like this: You get a -1 for every goal you’re off. If you’re off by 2 goals for one team and 1 goal for the other, then that’s a -3. You get a +1 for predicting one correct score, you get a +1 for predicting the total number of goals correct, OR you get a +3 for predicting the exact score (exacta).
What do I win? This is just for fun. There’s nothing to win except mad respect and ice cred (not to be confused with street cred). If you miss a game, you’re out.

wave’s notes: Me-ouch! Cat fight! In another world, Baily vs. a Panther would be pretty hysterical. But for today’s game, the real question is, “how many fights will there be?” It seems most people want some kind of retaliation for the good hit put on Richards in December. I tend to think these things are way overblown, but nonetheless, I think the Kings come out on top again in this cat fight. And it seems ALL of you agree! So far anyway…there are still a few holdouts…making it a perfect opportunity for someone to take Florida and possibly move up in the standings.

I keep wondering which team fears success the worst. I almost called this thing Cats by the same score, just because it seems each time we have a chance to jump back into first in the Pacific we get stage fright and choke. That said, Scottie Upshall is out, as is Ed Jovanovski; our boys could actually crack this one opened with the back-up in goal. I really hope they get “payback’s a bitch” over with and just focus on the game.

Defintely a problem with offense, but why? Is it the ghost of TM in the form of Kompon? If it is, why hasn’t it been corrected yet?
Fox says find other ways to score goals. Really? How does that work? Rearrange the word pathetic, still spells horrid.
