Knocked Out by a Bruin
Congratulations: To no one…again. No Exactas and there was not much movement in the standings. KingsFanFTW was the sole winner and is now within 3 points of exiting the basement. Cynic made the HUGE leap by moving up one plus/minus point. So instead of holding down 16th by himself, he is now tied with Hipcheck for 15th! Yep, it’s gotten that exciting down the stretch. Yaawwwn. Or as LBLocal put it, “Quite the myopic bunch, we are.”
On the bright side: Kings still hold onto a playoff spot. They are currently in 8th position.

Standings are sorted by Points, Win/Loss, Plus/Minus, Exacta/Perfecta. A win gets you 2 points. Or a correct score gets you 3 points (exacta). Or a correct score (along with regulation, overtime or shootout correct) gets you 4 points (perfecta).
Plus/Minus: Minuses are only counted if you lose, meaning that the worst you can do is Even if you win. If you lose, you get a -1 for every goal you’re wrong in your prediction. Then one of the following… If you predict one correct score then you get a +1. If you predict the total number of goals in the game correct then you get a +1. If you predict the exact score then you get a +3. If you predict the exact score and ending (reg/ot/so) then you get a +4.
I = Exacta ! = Perfecta
Right score, wrong team. Well, if I were to choose a game that the Kings had to lose, it would have been that one. If they continue to play like that, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Minnesota will be our bitches! I really hope, somehow, we get the Canucks in the first round of the playoffs. The Kings can pummel them into submission. Preview tomorrow night…

I was surprised no one (besides kingsfanftw) took the B’s. But I’m glad we all rode the wave until it crashed. Tomorrow will be a toughy to predict! I think I dislike the Canucks more than our Pacific division rivals.
