The Big Tease: 2 goals in 3 games isn't gonna cut it.
Congratulations: No Exactas for the 3rd straight game. Kinda like the Kings. There was a shakeup in the standings however. The venerable Matt Murray jumped back into a playoff spot, displacing fellow blogger, Jon Gillette who slipped into 11th. With the ‘win’ variable slid into 4th place and is now the top ranked blogger. It’s looking more and more like our game is mirroring the west standings and that it will come down to the last game to determine who makes it into the playoffs and who doesn’t. That is, if the Kings make it! Please, please, please make it Kings!
On the bright side: As I’m sure you know, the Kings still have their playoff fate in their hands with a game in hand over the Yotes.

Standings are determined by the following order:
- Most points
- Number of wins
- Plus/Minus
- Number of Exactas/Perfecta
A win gets you 2 points. Or a correct score gets you 3 points (exacta). Or a correct score (along with regulation, overtime or shootout correct) gets you 4 points (perfecta).
Playoffs: The Top 10 predictors in the standings at the end of the regular season will qualify for the (cough, cough) esteemed Playoff Prediction Panel. You will be looked upon for guidance on hockey blogs and admired all across the Kingdom. Trumpets will sound wherever you go. The panel will only happen if the Kings make the playoffs.
Calculating Plus/Minus: Minuses are only counted if you lose, meaning that the worst you can do is Even if you win. If you lose, you get a -1 for every goal you’re wrong in your prediction. Then one of the following… If you predict one correct score then you get a +1. If you predict the total number of goals in the game correct then you get a +1. If you predict the exact score then you get a +3. If you predict the exact score and ending (reg/ot/so) then you get a +4.
I = Exacta ! = Perfecta
