Congratulations: To LBLocal who got his first Perfecta and moved up four places and into a playoff spot from 13th to 9th. I’m still barely hanging on to 1oth with Dominick nipping at my heals. Meanwhile, CB14, who was in 1st place 5 games ago takes over that 13th position. Rough game. Will taking the other team pay off tonight? It’s a really tough call. I know we all want the Kings to be ‘Blues good’ but are they?
On the sober side: One down, two to go this week. I’d settle for just 1 point out of these next two games against very tough teams. But the way the Kings are playing, I wouldn’t put it past them to get 4!

I think there are an infinite number of reasons to support either a Kings win or loss. But it doesn’t get much bigger than this and the team is playing some of their best overall hockey this year and I think they show up, ready to pile on the reeling Sharks, who lost last night at home versus the Quacks. I was just about to write my prediction for tonights game, then I noticed the advertising for Ducks tickets at the top of the page. Then I went to the bathroom and threw up for 5 minutes. Anyways, I don’t have a clue what will happen tonight, but since it seems like everyone will pick the Kings to win, and the only way to gain ground in this game is to pick the opposite of everyone else, I’ll say 4-2 Guppies. |

I’m being bold with this one, but the Kings have done this before in SJ don’t forget. Sharks are free-fallin’ like nobody’s business. Ducks just handed it to them last night. Even with a PP and the goalie pulled with over a minute left they couldn’t even score one of the two they needed. They look like a beaten team. NEVER take the Sharks lightly, but with the confidence the Kings have right now, if we keep going this way, San Jose will be in for a long night. Most important is for the Kings to get 2 points in regulation. We have no choice to stay in the hunt with all the ridiculous games tomorrow (DAL/PHX & CGY/COL). |

Congratulations: After a long stretch of very few Exactas/Perfectas, things have certainly changed around here. There were five against the Hawks, five more against the Ducks and there was another one last night for little ole’ me!  After being bilked out of two of them by empty netters during the course of this game, I finally got one in the most improbable of ways…a 4 goal third period. Hey, I’ll take it!
- With that Perfecta, I jumped back into a playoff spot…barely.
- The top 5 remained the same.
- Matt Murray slid a few spots and out of a playoff spot with his bold Preds prediction.
- And we lost a couple more players: I tossed jnasty for his continued flakiness and ditched ‘TheRealQuisp’ because I was bored with making up cereal references only I thought were funny.
On the sober side: Despite 4 wins in a row, the Kings are STILL out of a playoff spot. And it doesn’t get any easier! There are 3 games coming up this week… Sharks, Blues, Bruins. Ouch. If they can get at least 3 out of 6 points, I think that would be ok. Anything less would probably mean disaster.
